El mensaje de arriba no es una invención, sino que es tal cual lo que le escribí a mi pareja hace unos días después de probar una de las comidas que habíamos pedido esa semana con Wetaca.

En casa somos bastante exigentes con lo que comemos, tanto los ingredientes con los que nosotros cocinamos como lo que comemos fuera, y precisamente esa es una de las razones por las que nos gusta tanto Wetaca.

Fuimos clientes de Wetaca hace más de un año y en los últimos dos meses hemos recuperado la tradición de pedir un par de platos a la semana para complementar las comidas que nosotros mismos preparamos.

Porque está muy rico, las raciones son abundantes, es más sano que otras alternativas y, además, el hecho de conocer personalmente a Andrés, Efrén, Carmen y otros miembros del equipo de Wetaca hace más fácil recomendar el producto que han creado. ¡Pruébalo!

  • Lince Works, the Barcelona game studio that made the indie hit Aragami, raised $3.4 million in a funding led by Game Seer.
  • Barcelona-based energy startup BIOO raised €500,000 via Sociosinversores
  • Barcelona-based food marketplace Catevering raised €500,000
  • Madrid-based Enjoyers raised €100,000 from various angels

M&A activity 🎊

  • US security startup WatchGuard acquired Basque antivirus startup Panda. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but El Confidencial says that the price could be as high as €200 million. Various funds owned 75% of Panda since 2007
  • Consulting firm Solventis acquired 80% of Galician fintech startup Qbitia
  • Auth0 published more details about the acquisition of Spanish product Apility, developed by Diego Parrilla, an anti-abuse API product that will help Auth0 bolster their security strategy to protect against automated cyberattacks
  • Ericsson signed an agreement to acquire 100% of the shares in Genaker, a provider of Mission Critical Push-to-talk (MC-PTT) solutions, based in Barcelona, Spain

  • Portuguese VC firm Indico closes €54 million fund to invest in early-stage Iberian startups. Indico has also set up an office in Madrid to invest in Spanish startups

Wetaca no apaga los fogones.

A pesar de la situación en la que se encuentra España a causa del Coronavirus, y especialmente Madrid, donde se encuentra el obrador de Wetaca, la compañía informa a todos sus clientes de que seguirán cocinando y entregando pedidos como lo han hecho hasta ahora.

Para ello han puesto en marcha un protocolo estricto para minimizar contaminación y contagios entre sus empleados, se han asegurado el suministro de materias primas y también la posibilidad de reparto en toda la península.

  • BBVA paid €85 million for US neobank Simple. BBVA increased the value of the acquired company for the first time in 2019, following several years of lowering Simple's valuation. Despite the increase, Simple is only valued at €56 million
